Safety
What the game does and does not do, the age it is built for, and where the controls that matter actually sit.
The short version
This page used to say there was nothing to buy. That is no longer true, and we said that if anything changed this page would say so plainly. So: there are now a few optional things to buy, listed in full below. None of them improves anyone's batting or buys a place on an honours board, and that is not going to change.
Purchases
All of it is optional, all of it is paid in Robux through Roblox, and Roblox shows the price and asks for confirmation before anything is bought. Pavilion never sees a card or an account.
Pavilion Cricket Club membership. A one-off life membership. Members get a numbered membership, the club cap and kit in the game, and their name on the members' board. It changes how a player looks, never how they bat.
Rain cards. A rain card lets a player move past a fixture they are stuck on, the way rain ends a real match. A game passed on a rain card earns no star and no place on an honours board. Rain cards can also be earned by playing.
Coins are never for sale. Coins are earned by playing and spent on things like celebrations and bat grips. There is no way to buy them.
You can switch spending off. Roblox's parental controls let you set a monthly limit or block purchases altogether, for every game on the platform.
What we do
The game is built for young players. Every claim below can be checked by opening it.
No personal information is ever collected. Not an email, not an age, not a location. Pavilion knows a Roblox display name and a cricket score, and nothing else.
The honours boards carry a name and a number. No photographs, no locations, nothing that connects a name to a person.
Pavilion adds no chat of its own. There is no private channel, no voice, and no direct messaging built into the game — all chat is Roblox's, filtered and age-banded by Roblox.
There is a working deletion path. One command removes a player's whole record — profile, every board row, every honours entry. Built before launch, not after a complaint.
Nothing you can buy makes you better at cricket. The honours boards are not for sale.
Age bands and chat are enforced by Roblox itself, at platform level, not by a setting a developer can quietly loosen.
Pavilion is built on Roblox, and Roblox has been the subject of serious child-safety litigation. Anyone looking into this will find that, and they should.
It is not a reason to pretend otherwise. It is the reason the list above exists and is published — and every claim on it is one you can check by playing the game. Full detail on the privacy page.
Where the controls actually live
This is worth being clear about, because it is where most of the real control sits. Pavilion is an experience that runs on Roblox. Chat, friends, screen time, spending limits and which experiences a child can open are all managed by the Roblox account — and Roblox gives you tools for every one of them.
If you set up a parent PIN and lock the maturity setting, you decide what your child can open, including this. Roblox's parental controls page walks through it.
One note. A Roblox account for a child under 13 behaves differently from an older one — stricter chat, restricted discovery. If Pavilion does not appear for your child, that is usually an account maturity setting rather than a fault, and the link above is where to fix it.
Ask us directly. Pavilion is a small independent studio in New Zealand. Safety questions and problem reports go to hello@pavilioncc.com and are answered by the people who build the game.
An innings takes about a minute. It is the quickest way to know what the game actually is.
